Writing Groups

06.1.2007

A while back, I joined a writing group but it seems that no matter how much I planned ahead, I was never able to make it to the meetings. So a few weeks ago, the gal who organized the group decided to cancel it. Apparently, not many of the others were ever able to make it either. Part of the issue for me was my husbands schedule change which meant he didn’t even get off work until after the meeting time and as the organizer decided to have it in a town 20 miles away, it was difficult at best for me to even hope to make it.

Oh well.

Perhaps I’ll organize my own group. Or maybe there’s one local for me on meetups.com – I’ll have to check.

The garden is almost finished. All of the bulbs and most of the veggie seeds have been planted. I only have a few left. It’s looking very nice! But I’m afraid my writing time has suffered as a result. Isn’t that par for the course this time of year? Especially when the weather really starts warming up.

And this year, we have a boat load of projects going on outside including putting up a fence in the front yard, re-doing the front walkway and porch, of course the flower beds and garden, an arbor and pagoda we’ll be installing for the climbing vines I’ve got started. Then there’s the new back deck we’ll be building, the new roof we’re going to put on the house not to mention painting the outside of the house. It seems never-ending!

Kinda like my list of writing projects . . .
